The Client
An established Yorkshire based leading voluntary sector agency who provide high quality services to improve the health and well-being of people in their communities, After the huge success of their safe space cafes in West Yorkshire they have been awarded funding from NHS Rotherham CCG to run the upcoming Rotherham Safe Space cafe.
The Rotherham Safe Space will offer a non-clinical, listening space with the aim of diverting people, who would be better supported elsewhere, away from Accident and Emergency (A&E) and other crisis services in Rotherham. The cafe will be open in the early evening and at night, likely to operate between the hours of 6pm-1am, 3 evenings a week.
The role
The post holder will provide leadership to the Safe Space team, including managing the day-to-day delivery of the service and supporting people in acute distress, including one to one support, support planning and liaising with local services.
Our client wishes to recruit someone with experience of supporting people with mental health crisis, including working with people at risk of suicide and self-harm, and supporting people from BME and LGBTQ communities.
The Team Leader will be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

The space will provide a non-clinical setting to support 12 individuals at a time to access support in a crisis, as an alternative to A&E. The post holder will support people in acute distress, including 1-2-1 support, support planning and liaising with local services.
