3rd Line Support Engineer

Job description

As a 3rd Line Support Engineer you will play a key role in the operations within the organisation and act as part of the infrastructure team. Providing support to the infrastructure, 1st and 2nd Line teams and maintaining high quality customer service. You will Monitor, maintain and develop the Groups infrastructure and information systems.

Skills required:

* Industry standard server, networking and SAN hardware
* Server virtualisation platforms, such as VMware and Hyper-V
* Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 and Windows 7/8/10
* MS Active Directory, Group Policy
* LAN & WAN TCP/IP networking, VLANs, DNS and DHCP
* Security infrastructure including Firewalls, web and email filtering
* Wireless networking
* Backup and recovery hardware and software


*Automated Systems Monitoring (i.e. SCOM, Solarwinds, PRTG)
* Automated deployment of software in an MS Environment
* MS Server applications such as IIS, SQL and Exchange
* Virtual Desktop and Remote Access technologies
* Web server technologies such as MySQL, Apache, NGINX and PHP
* Scripting/programming languages (i.e. PowerShell, vbs)
* Linux Server and CMS such as WordPress or Joomla
* Microsoft or Google cloud collaboration services (O365, G Suite)
* IP CCTV and Access Control Systems
* Management of IP Telephony Systems
