IT Support Officer

Client:

My Client Is a leading Housing Charity based in Birmingham who are looking for an IT Officer to come in and help to install, configure and maintain PC's peripherals, servers (physical and virtual), network devices and software, and to provide effective and efficient support to customers, ensuring requests are dealt with promptly and appropriately.

Your Role:

• To deploy laptops and associated peripherals including new installations and redeployment of existing equipment.
• To maintain the existing laptops, PCs and peripherals to agreed standards, by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures.
• To install and configure software to agreed standards under the direction of the Head of ICT.
• To support and develop system recovery processes to minimise the risk and impact of a serious disaster: including co-ordinated backup processes, efficient deployment of antivirus software and the provision of replication for users and servers where needs are identified
• To provide technical support to telephone and online requests from users for all hardware, software, peripherals, networks and servers.
• To maintain Microsoft Active DirectoryO365 user network access accounts to provide secure and efficient links to email, software, systems and information

What you need to be successful:

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• CRM support and administration
• Knowledge of Microsoft Local and wide area networking and configuration of switch / router / firewall and TCP/IP technologies
• Windows Server 2008 (onwards) administration
• Active Directory
• Microsoft Office 365 knowledge
• Knowledge of Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam software
