Senior Application Engineer

Morgan Hunt are working with a public sector consultancy to find a Senior Application Engineer with working knowledge of Business World On! and ServiceNow. This role is a 12 month contract (inside of IR35).

The role

As a Senior Applications Engineer you will be required to:

• Primarily accountable for the performance of the Application Support & Development services required for Business World On!.
• Delivering a high-quality IT service to the customer and internal stakeholders
• Provide Technical advice and support to the customer on current and potential new Applications. To help the customer provide more efficient and better service to their customers.
• Managing the interface with the client, project management, third party providers and ITS managers as required to ensure new/changed services are smoothly transitioned to live service.
• Ensure compliance of IT performance reporting on all contractual and non-contractual KPIs/SLA's in line with the contract needs.
• Effective management of service disputes, negotiation or escalation for positive outcomes and seek to enhance the relationship.
• Managing suppliers and vendors linked to the provision of IT within the account such that all relevant service obligations are met.
• Responsible for the additions and updates of the Application/Service catalogues.

Key skills required

• Senior Application Engineer with ERP system (Business world on) experience along with ServiceNow
• Cloud Migration Experience
• A detailed understanding of the services delivered by Business World On!
• A detailed understanding of how each service underpins the client use and business needs that the service supports.
• An understanding of the equipment, applications or services provided by 3rd parties (Unit 4) to support our service environment.
• Up to date / appropriate ITIL v3 qualification linked to service process accountabilities.
• Good all-round knowledge of industry trends, current & emerging technologies
• Experience of effective service and technical delivery in a complex organisation.
• Excellent Customer management skills

What you get in return

• Daily rate of between £550 - £650 PD DOE
• Office attendance required 1 day per month
• Possibility of extension for an additional 3-6 months
