We have a current opportunity for a Games Specialist Lecturer on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
We are seeking a computer Games Specialist Lecturer in Newcastle upon Tyne who can contribute to the development and delivery of both our FE and undergraduate courses using a range of teaching methods and ways of supporting student learning. In particular, you will contribute to the development and delivery of the departments courses in games design and development. Ideally, you will possess development experience that could include the use of Unity Games Engine, Unreal Games Engine, Autodesk Entertainment Suite (Maya / Blender / 3DS Max) and Adobe Creative Suite. As a Games Specialist Lecturer, you will be able to develop exciting, dynamic and creative learning experiences for students at various levels. In addition, you will be a strong, professional, positive communicator, who is able, for example, to contribute to positive team building and collaborative work, not just within computing but across a full department. Crucially, you will be passionate about creativity and providing outstanding training and learning for the computing practitioners of tomorrow, as part of a wider Creative and Digital Industries department, and with a full understanding of the fast pace and vital importance of developing digital skills. Experience of engagement with external groups, the development of commercial and/or co-curricular activities would also be desirable.
