Summary of main purpose of role: The aim of the role is to recruit, select and match candidates for local apprenticeship opportunities, the Learner Engagement Consultant will be expected to source suitable candidates using a variety of different recruitment methods, they'll conduct 121 interviews and be expected to lead Recruitment Assessment Sessions which will result in a structured matching process. The Learner Engagement Consultant will engage with a diverse client base, they'll have strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will be the initial point of contact for our employer partners and future apprentices and as such will need to build strong working relationships with employer contacts at all levels. They take responsibility for a portfolio of new apprenticeship vacancies, sourcing, assessing and selecting suitable candidates using a variety of methods to place apprentice candidates into sustainable employment. The post holder will have experience of working in a fast paced target driven environment. The candidate must have exceptional communication skills and be confident in presenting to large audiences such as Newcastle College students, they'll have excellent time management skills and be confident in prioritising.
