We have a current opportunity for a Data and Compliance Manager on a 1 year fixed term contract with possibility for extension. The position will be based in Newcastle upon Tyne and allows hybrid working. For further information about this position please apply.

Salary: £28,000

Working closely with the Head of Data and Quality, curriculum managers, operations and delivery teams, applicants should have a proven track record of managing education data using ILR and MIS systems, in addition to having excellent organisational, IT and communication skills. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting monthly funding return, analysing funding reports, identifying and rectifying data errors and preparing updates for senior managers. You will also be responsible for registrations and certifications of the clients learners.

Applicants should be focused, agile and responsive and be qualified to the required standard, or equivalent. Level 2 English and maths is also required, or the willingness to work towards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake all data entry requirements for ESFA/devolved contracts, apprenticeships, and sub-contracted funded contracts.
  • To train, monitor and liaise with curriculum teams to ensure compliance and timely completion of documentation.
  • To monitor, report and submit ILR to ESFA in line with monthly deadlines.
  • To provide a monthly report to SLT showing funding and data against contracts and targets.
  • To liaise with IQAs to ensure timely completion of quality assurance and certification

Duties:

  • Effective use of MIS and data entry tools to ensure accurate data input and reporting.
  • To provide paperwork and compliance training to curriculum and administrative teams.
  • To systematically monitor and report on ILR data, error checking and ESFA submissions in line with ESFA timescales
  • To collaborate with Head of Data and Quality to prepare, check and submit HESA data, in line with OFS requirements
  • To provide holiday cover for the role of HE Admissions Manager, including dealing with enrolments and assignments
  • To attend core committee meetings, as required.
  • To liaise with Awarding Organisations as required, including booking exams and managing CSCS cards and similar initiatives.
