Referral Line Worker

£11.00 - £12.00 per hour

Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Domestic Abuse charity to recruit a Referral Line Worker to start immediately for 3 - 4 weeks. The role will be based in Manchester and requires an Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months / on the update service.

As a Referral Line Worker, you will be responsible for giving support, signposting enquiries, taking referrals, completing risk assessments and distributing information.

The role - Referral Line Worker

  • Answering calls from men, women and families experiencing domestic violence, providing support and practical help
  • Listening and assessing each call individually to ensure advice and support is given to all callers
  • Referring into refuge when appropriate
  • Liaising with agencies and professionals on behalf of the caller when required
  • Ensure helpline logs are completed accurately and data inputted into the database during each shift

The candidate

  • Experience of working directly with individuals directly affected by Domestic Abuse
  • Experience of carrying out DASH RIC assessments and support planning
  • An understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on families
  • A good level of knowledge and understanding of statutory and legal provision for those experiencing domestic abuse
  • The ability to work effectively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
