If you have previous experience supporting hearing impaired students or have BSL level3 qualification (level 3 is preferred but lower qualifications would be considered) we have the role for you!
We are looking for a Communication Support Worker / CSW / BSL TA to support Hearing Impaired pupils in FE Colleges in Cheshire on 12 week assignment.
The role will include
- Signing for students with hearing impairments
- Helping students overcome barriers to their learning
- To follow and maintain accurate records on individual learners progress
- The students will be aged 16 and above
The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting young adults with Hearing Impairments and hold a BSL qualification.
Your role will include supporting Hearing Impaired students within the mainstream FE Colleges. Your role will require a sense of understanding to provide emotional, social and pastoral support at times assisting with scribing or note taking.
To apply for the Communication Support Worker you should
- Have a BSL L3 or above (preferred)
- Previous experience supporting Children or Young Adults (preferred but not essential)
- Hold an Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to apply for a new one)
- Be able to provide relevant documentation for work within FE Setting
