British Sign Language Support worker
The pay scale for this role will be dependent on previous relevant training, qualifications, or experience. You do not need to have any previous experience in colleges to be considered for this role.
Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for British Sign Language Support worker for various college across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. In this role you will be required to provide additional support to hearing impaired students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The role will be for November 2022, on a long-term temporary basis, timetables for this role can be flexible.
Within the role you may be expected to support hearing impaired students within mainstream FE Colleges. The role would require you to deliver support 1:1 or in small groups and have a understanding allowing you to provide emotional, social and pastoral support at times assisting with scribing or note taking when needed. You would be required to liaise with colleagues and external agencies ensuring that the correct support is provided for all students.
This role would be suitable for anyone with previous experience using British Sign Language in or outside of education who are looking to transfer their skills into a classroom environment and make a positive difference everyday to the students.
