To have overall responsibility for the management of all Funding & Compliance operations for the group, including Study Programmes, adult education, Apprenticeships and HE.
To work with key colleagues in the development and management of information systems and the
Funding and Compliance Team.
To work strategically with the Executive Leadership Team and other Managers to develop robust policies, procedures and processes to monitor compliance with funding requirements throughout all aspects of the company to ensure and provide appropriate, documented assurance.
To ensure the Company maximises its funding from all funding agencies, employers and learners.
To work with the BI & Data Manager on the provision of management information to enable eﬀective senior management decision making and to support the quality improvement framework.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential to the post-holder's role is the development and maintenance of a clear overall understanding of current and proposed curricular and their respective requirements and implications in terms of funding and compliance

To ensure all claims for learner related funding are complete, correct and on time.
To brief the Senior Management Team and Company Management Team on changes to the funding methodology
To ensure funding is maximised and received and that managers are planning their courses eﬀectively.
To propose and justify the annual revenue and capital budgets as required.
To manage, monitor and control the expenditure of the centre cost centre eﬀectively and eﬃciently within Company and funding body guidelines
To plan staﬃng requirements and to manage the appropriate staﬃng budgets.
To authorise the purchase of necessary apparatus, equipment and materials within the cost centre budget.
To initiate and participate in schemes to generate funds from external sources and manage where appropriate.
To advise on speciﬁcations for information systems requirements and to contribute to the production and evaluation of tender documents and returns
To maintain expert knowledge of national, regional and local developments in Further and Higher Education particularly as they aﬀect information services. In particular to have a detailed knowledge of all funding agencies policies and procedures, in particular on Funding Learning, Information and Auditing requirements.
To support the provision of accurate, user-friendly and timely management information to internal and external audiences.
To maintain expert knowledge on information systems and technical developments.To develop through consultation with the team, the service's agreements, performance indicators and operating plan.
To evaluate the service provided through performance indicators, in particular to produce an annual Self-Assessment Report.
To be aware of all major issues aﬀecting the Management Information Services team and disseminate to the team accordingly.
To produce regular, accurate and understandable performance indicators for SMT and Board on learner information and funding from an historical, current, projected and planned perspective.
To have a knowledge and understanding of varying funding streams, rules and regulations including those covering FE,HE and International learners and to advise and support the development of strategies, plans and provision including self ﬁnancing and ESF provision.
