Skills and Employability Tutor
Hours; Full time (37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year),
Salary; £20,387 per annum
Location: South Yorkshire
About the Role
This position is essential with supporting all learners in the college to develop necessary employability skills, knowledge and personal behaviour to allow them to be successful within any future careers.
This role will require you to provide high standard employability and careers education and develop an enrichment provision to the learners. This will allow them to successfully progress to their chosen destination.
This role will allow you to work collaboratively with Progress Tutors in the curriculum team, your responsibilities will involve for the learners work readiness and planning and delivering relevant and engaging employability and enrichment sessions. These sessions will be a mixture of 1:1 or on a group basis.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with predominantly 14-19-year-olds in a range of personal, social and educational barriers.
Confident in IT skills, with the ability to use a range of tools and software's support the innovative blended delivery model
You must hold level 2 in English and Maths, a relevant teaching training and qualification is desired but not essential - the college is happy to consider any Learning Support Assistants who are fully committed to supporting the achievement of welfare of all the learners.
