We have a current opportunity for a Facilities Manager - The position will be based in Manchester and is a 2 year, fixed term contract role (with possibility of going permanent thereafter). · Contract management and key relationship management with senior users & principal suppliers with focus on ensuring the CMA's FM service is uninterrupted and value for money is achieved.

· Always provide a visible presence by ensuring the best quality of service and excellent customer communications.

· Liaise with the Landlord and building managers to ensure all H&S and maintenance is carried accordingly and ensure it remains compliant.

· Ensuring that contracts are well specified and provide satisfactory delivery and value for money;

· Act as the escalation point for issues ensuring that the building (hard) and facilities (soft) services are maintained to the highest standards and meet the needs of the CMA staff and visitors;

· Financial overview of the provision of Property and FM services, including planning, control, and reporting of current budgets.

· Accountable for ensuring that the CMA meets or exceeds minimum statutory and government standards including in health and safety, security, sustainability, and commercial management:

o ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are in place, i.e., compliance with health and safety confidence guidance.

o enforcing compliance for all CMA Property and FM contractors,

o ensuring accurate records are maintained.

· Providing expert advice to staff at all levels on all aspects of facilities management and identifying areas where continuous improvement is required.

· Build relationships for encouraging, recognising, and sharing innovative ideas from a diverse range of stakeholders;

· Ensuring plans and activities across Property and FM reflect the wider strategic priorities and communicate effectively with senior leaders to influence future strategies;

· Use excellent People Management skills in the effective leadership, which includes both CMA staff and the outsourced Property and FM providers.

· Collaborate closely with the Regional Facilities Manager to maximise opportunities for the estate wide benefits in the delivery of Property and FM services, promoting consistency across the organisation.

· Work together with the Regional Facilities Manager to ensure holiday/sickness cover is available for all the CMA regional offices.
