The client

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a housing provider whose mission is to transform the lives of vulnerable people. This is done through accommodation-based services as well as community outreach. Our client is looking to recruit an Outreach Worker, covering Liverpool on a permanent basis.

The service

The service provides outreach support for adults, asylum seekers and refugees across Liverpool. You will manage your own caseload, supporting them to live independently in the community and to sustain their tenancy.

The role - Outreach Worker

• Providing ongoing assessments of service users needs

• Conducting welcome and induction meetings with service users to establish their needs and to ensure the service user understands their tenancy agreement

• Arranging appointments with various partner agencies and liaising with a designated Social Worker around the progress and individual needs of service users

• Supporting service users to develop their independent daily living skills through things such as budgeting, healthy eating, healthy relationships and helping with access to health services

• Accompanying service users to participate in activities of interest within the community

• Preparation of reports and keeping accurate record around the progress of clients

• Assisting with the move on of service users when required

The candidate - Outreach Worker

• Experience of working within a similar role providing floating support or outreach to individuals with complex needs

• Experience of supporting adults, asylum seekers and refugees with their mental health to sustain and develop independent living skills and sustain a tenancy

• Experience of working independently and managing a caseload of service users in the community

• Experience of multi-agency working with other professionals

• A driver is essential for this role due to the travel required

• 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday with a weekend rota in place

• An Enhanced DBS is essential for this role
