Venue and Operations Manager

£19 - £25 per hour

We have a current opportunity for a Venue and Operations Manager on a temporary to permanent basis. The position will be based in Greater Manchester. For further information about this position please apply.

£20- £25 per hour then a permanent salary of £42,000 to £46,000
Full time (35 contracted hour per week)
Hybrid working available

To start ASAP on an interim basis for 3 months- Paid hourly/ Daily- if suitable for both parties a perm offer will be made

The Venues Operations Manager is responsible for the delivery of the provision of front of house and event security services utilising inspiring leadership and management techniques to create an environment where every member of the team feels respected and valued, able to contribute and commit themselves to the College with excellence as the underpinning goal.

The Venues Operations Manager has overall responsibility for the efficient, effective and safe management of the clients facilities during events and managing front of house operations.

During evenings and weekends when events are scheduled, the manager is the senior responsible manager on site but will have access to senior support as needed.

Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities or Duties

  1. As the responsible duty building manager, liaise effectively with other the clients duty managers e.g. catering, performance and programming, technical etc. and relevant externally contracted staff where necessary, in order to fulfil a critical role in the management of the security and safe operation of the premises.
  1. Manage the front of house team and event security from recruitment to performance review. Includes management of rotas.
  1. Oversee service standards and standard operating procedures within all areas of responsibility.
  1. Serving as a member of the College's Emergency Response Team to support and direct where necessary fire and evacuation procedures.
  1. Responsible for ensuing activities are undertaken safely and with due regard to the conditions within the Premises Licence.
  1. Manage front of house and event security budget (mainly casuals' costs).
