Job description

We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a HR Manager, this is a standalone position working 4 days a week for a start-up/SME tech business based in Manchester.

Salary up to £60,000 FTE plus benefits including hybrid working, 25 days holiday public holidays and private medical insurance

HR Manager

Key responsibilities

  • Plan a clear and strategic HR road map, with goals in line with the business needs and vision.
  • Workforce planning to ensure that we have the right people in the right place at the right time.
  • End to end recruitment
  • Assist with on-boarding of new starters and arranging/coordinating induction programmes.
  • Support the business in Employee Relations
  • Lead in the development of Company culture and values.
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
  • Oversee the outsourced payroll arrangement
  • Develop and implement a performance review cycle
  • Manage talent and succession planning.

Experience

  • Experience as a HR Manager preferably in a start-up or SME environment
  • CIPD qualified or with relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods and best practices.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent commercial knowledge and business acumen
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team
