Assistant Facilities Manager

Our client based in the city centre of Manchester is a national independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance and advice on promoting high quality health, public health and social care. are looking for an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager. The position is office based temporsry contract for 12 weeks.

The Assistant Facilities Manager will work as part of the facilities team with responsibility to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the organisation's Manchester office, deputising for the Estates and Facilities Manager when required.

Responsibilities for the day to day running of the office will include; maintenance, health and safety, events, reception, facilities, and the travel booking system

Key essential criteria:

  • Knowledge of health and safety issues
  • Understanding of procurement procedures
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible attitude to working environment and ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • This role is predominantly office-based which requires a level of physical activity (such as room set up and health and safety checks).
