Morgan Hunt is recruiting for an Carpentry and Joinery Assessor, to work with a leading FE College in Greater Manchester.

The role will be full time, with a full case load of learners supporting them through their assessments in college and out at their workplace.

You will be required to carry out workplace assessments, progress reviews, setting SMART Targets and action plans for apprenticeships, conduct health and safety appraisals and deliver professional qualifications at Level 2 - 3 including embedding of Functional Skills.

Experience of assessment in both site and bench environments is advantageous, along with being able to use e-portfolio systems and carry out assessments in accordance with awarding body requirements.

The ideal Carpentry and Joinery Assessor will:

• Have minimum 1 year's experience working in the Carpentry and Joinery industry
• Have an up to date DBS or willing to apply for one
• Up to Level 4 Carpentry and Joinery qualification
• A recognised assessment qualification (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent) or willing to work towards one
• Confident in all aspects of the workplace assessment within the Carpentry and Joinery industry
• Ability to assess learner's responsibilities of working within the Carpentry and Joinery industry

Carpentry and Joinery Assessor will main duties:

• Assessing and supporting learners ensuring they reach their targets
• Working in the Carpentry and Joinery provision, you will be working with a variety of learners and be expected to meet the organisation's standards of work
• Delivering Carpentry and Joinery on a classroom basis
• Providing tutorial and pastoral support to students across the organisation and in the workplace
