Job description

Permanent HR Advisor - Remote Working

We have a current opportunity available for a HR Advisor on a permanent basis, working from home.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-known Charity and be a part of their high performing HR Team.

  • £30,000 per annum
  • 35 hours per week
  • Home based with occasional travel

Role HR Advisor

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the charity.
  • Provide tailored HR advice and guidance, using metrics and data to spot trends and identify risks and areas of opportunity.
  • Coach managers through informal and formal cases, ensuring that all advice and guidance provided is in line with policies, legal requirements, and best practice.
  • Review employee relations cases to identify trends that can be addressed through learning and development, recruitment, or other people activities.
  • Support on change management programmes, including restructures
  • Support senior managers in workforce planning, reviewing job descriptions, team structure and culture; making recommendations as appropriate to enhance team performance.
  • Provide efficient and proactive generalist HR administration support
  • Process monthly payroll in line with agreed timescales including starter and leaver, absence, maternity, changes to terms and conditions, liaising with colleagues as appropriate

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in a HR generalist role, with a track record of resolving key people issues through advice to managers.
  • Experience of advising during formal meetings, including disciplinary and grievance hearings and appeal procedures.
  • Experience of liaising with trade unions
  • Experience of working effectively and delivering expected outcomes in a fast-paced pressured environment in collaboration with business managers.
  • Experience of developing HR policy, procedures/systems and managing projects.
  • CIPD Level 5
