Job Title: Finance Assistant- Purchase Ledger

Salary: £21,162 - £22,564 Extensive Benefits Package

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Morgan Hunt is recruiting for a permanent Finance Assistant role within the Education Sector, based in Dorset. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading Education Sectors. This is a full time, permanent role.

Main responsibilities of a Finance Assistant - Purchase Ledger:

  • Checking coding of invoices for correct nominal code and dept code
  • Registering and scanning of invoices to finance system
  • Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Producing weekly payment runs for both entities
  • Posting payments onto the finance system
  • Adhere to monthly deadlines to close Purchase Ledger
  • Dealing with callers to the department both in person and by telephone

As a Finance Officer, it would be ideal if you have:

  • Experience and confidence working in a fast paced finance department
  • To have a clear understanding of double entry book keeping
  • Understanding of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, general ledger codes and dept code structure
  • Experience of Unit4 Business World accounting system
  • Current driving licence
