Communications Officer

Morgan Hunt is working with a Membership body who are looking for a communications Officer. The perfect candidate should have strong internal and external communication skills, press office experience, and will help raise awareness for environmental high-profile projects. This 12 month FTC role is based around Bristol and can flexible with hybrid and remote the salary is £27,779.

Key Responsibilities of the New Communications Officer:

• Design and implement communications around organisation operations to better advise users, neighbours, and other stakeholders of our operational plans during the planning, and implementation of forestry works
• Develop and deliver a proactive communications and supporting key projects with activity including press releases, website updates and social media content
• Continue to utilise the social media channels ensuring that they deliver engaging and useful content for our customers and internal and external stakeholders
• Support local community engagement to involve communities in projects that support healthy lifestyles and are linked to recreation and the organisations ethos
• Work within and as part of the wider district team to encourage better internal communications, including attending local delivery team meetings and supplying content for the district communications site

Previous Skills and Experience of the New Communications officer:

• Relevant experience of developing content in all forms of media (electronic and print-based) to support communications and marketing objectives
• Strong digital marketing knowledge and skills, including content creation, promotion and social media management
• Creative flair and strong written skills, with proven experience of copy writing and editing for the web
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and balance priorities whilst several projects simultaneously
