We have a current opportunity for a UX Research Specialist on a permanent basis with our public sector client in Edinburgh. This role will have a hybrid pattern of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
Salary: £35-42k
Pension: 21% Employer Contribution
Annual Leave: Circa 40 Days
Duties Include;
Design, plan and carry out user-centred research and design activities to support continuous iterative improvement of organisation systems and services. Formulate hypotheses and assumptions to test in research.
Design and deliver a variety of service support mechanisms (e.g. training/promotional materials, system modifications) to maximise service quality, efficiency and continuity.
Conduct research accurately and methodically to address Identify and recommendations for improvements (e.g. in policies and procedures) to contribute to the continuous operational improvement of the User Experience team and its activities
Lead projects of a short-term nature, and contribute to larger organisation wide projects as part of a project team, working closely with service managers and product owners to support the achievement of project objectives.
Work collaboratively with teams operating systems and delivering user-facing services for the organisation, reviewing levels of stakeholder satisfaction and, identifying and making recommendations for improvements, and facilitating best practice
Day to day liaison and communication with stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and processes.
Provide line management, supervision, coaching and support to junior staff members, empowering them to complete research, analysis and reporting tasks
Participate in regular meetings both within the UX team and teams in the wider organisation as required
