Legal Cashier
Pentagon Talent have partnered up with a boutique law firm in search of a Legal Cashier for their London based finance team. My client prides themselves on the outstanding work they do within specific areas of property law. The ideal candidate is someone who has experienced working within all areas of accounts and has knowledge on the processes required and involved. They are willing to train people on areas which they may have less knowledge on.
The Legal Cashier will be involved in all areas of accounts assisting the Senior Cashier. This position will allow somebody to learn more and get more involved into practice management too by assisting the practice manager in some duties which will also be trained on.
The ideal Legal Cashier will have to:
- Be involved in client cashiering and monitoring funds received via Cashroom portal.
- Transferring client funds into office account to pay bills whilst adhering to SRA Accounts Rules.
- Assist with all other cashiering and accounting duties.
- Provide general support for accounts team including assistance with billing, purchase ledger and credit control.
- Deal with fee earner queries as and when they arise.
Ideal skills for the Legal Cashier would include:
- Excellent SRA Accounts Rules knowledge.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a law firm.
- Good IT skills with excel and able to manage electronic filing.
- Understanding of all aspects of legal accounts.
- Confident and ability to work quickly and accurately.
