Pentagon Talent are delighted to be partnering with a vibrant and fast growing Top 50 Accountancy Firm in the City of London to recruit for an Audit Senior. You will be joining a growing and supportive audit team where you be challenged, supported and able to develop your skill set. Their audit team is one of the fastest growing in the industry and they work with a varied of clients including some listed.
Duties and responsibilities
As an Audit Senior you will be carrying out a range of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;
- Complete planning to high standard after having briefing from manager and/or RI and ensuring planning section is fully signed off on caseware.
- Draft audit approach as agreed at ETD
- Draft information request based on agreed audit approach and send to client at least two weeks prior to work.
- Produce detailed request for information from the client two weeks in advance of fieldwork.
- Ensure good quality financial statements have been prepared prior to the commencement of audit field work and in accordance with FRS 101 and 102 or IFRS.
- The completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and /analytical audit procedures as agreed with manager/partner.
- Provide an approachable and friendly service to clients when dealing with queries on a timely basis.
- Support junior members of staff and brief them in advance on assignments.
Qualifications and skills required
In order succeed as an Audit Senior you will:
- Be ACCA or ACA qualified.
- Experience working in an accountancy firm planning audit through to completion.
- Have excellent communication skills.
