Morgan Hunt is currently supporting a fantastic charity with the recruitment of an Economist to join their team on a permanent contract.

Reporting into the Research Manager, you will be supporting the team on quantitative, qualitative and economic analysis to support the research that will underpin the charity's campaigning and policy programmes.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Economist

• Provide ongoing statistical support across the department.
• Manipulation and interrogation of national datasets.
• Write and edit research publications including reports and briefings.
• Design, deliver and disseminate economic and quantitative research projects to inform the charity's strategic direction, further influencing objectives, and to support ongoing product and service development.

Your experience:

• You will have the ability to explain complex economic concepts in simple terms to a variety of audiences.
• You will have a passion for maximising policy impacts.
• A degree or postgraduate degree in Economics or a social science degree with a significant statistics component.
• At least 2 years' experience working as an Economist or in a quantitative researcher role.
• Experience of using analytical software packages, such as SPSS, STATA or R.
• Evidence of successful research that influences to inform policy or practice.
• Experience of successfully undertaking economic and quantitative analysis, such as cost benefit analysis and / or regression analysis.
