About Us

Octavia has been providing affordable housing and supporting local people in west London through times of difficulty for over 150 years. More than 300 people work for Octavia today, providing services ranging from care and community services through to affordable housing.
Over the last 15 years Octavia has developed seven modern extra care schemes in North Kensington, Westminster and Hounslow, providing accessible homes with care and activities for 179 older people with a range of different needs, including those with long term health conditions, dementia and mental health needs, and those who are socially isolated.
These provide homes for older people with physical and mental health needs. All our schemes are conveniently sited in the heart of the communities they serve.
Alongside caring for the people living in our schemes, we provide care and support to a further 90 people to enable them to live independently, and through day care. Octavia also provides a number of supported housing schemes and support services.
Our extra care schemes are highly rated by the independent care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and local authority partners. Our latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) report for Leonora House in Westminster, received a rating of ‘good with outstanding for responsiveness’. We are aiming to build on this to be rated overall ‘outstanding’.
We are also an award-winning care employer - judged to be Care Employer of the Year in 2017 in the Great British Care Awards. We are an Equal Opportunities Employer and have gained Investors in People Silver Status.
Across the organisation we hold strong values of being ‘Reliable, Responsive and Respectful’. We adhere to these values both as an employer and in delivering services to the people we support.
