This Senior International Tax Manager vacancy is a high-impact position within a dynamic, globally recognised leading London law firm. The role is predominantly advisory, working closely with senior tax leadership and global stakeholders on complex, cross-border tax matters. You will play a pivotal role in shaping international tax strategy and supporting high-profile transactions across a diverse international footprint.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior International Tax Manager:

  • Provide proactive and strategic international tax advisory support across global operations.
  • Advise on complex M&A transactions, including structuring and post-transaction tax implications.
  • Support the business on tax aspects of international expansion, partner relocations, and structural changes.
  • Contribute to the implementation and analysis of Pillar 2 and other international tax reform initiatives.
  • Lead advisory work on corporate income tax in new jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate on international tax compliance processes; oversee risk and reporting in coordination with local finance teams.
  • Participate in global tax governance through reporting and strategic input at board level.
  • Advise on tax considerations for partner remuneration and international tax audits.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Strong technical expertise in international tax, including cross-border structuring, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience advising on complex jurisdictions (e.g. India, UAE) and multi-entity structures.
  • Exposure to partnership tax highly desirable, particularly within professional services; however, candidates from large corporates with a willingness to learn the partnership overlay will be considered.
  • Proven ability to translate complex tax advice into commercially relevant guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders, CFOs, and international finance teams.
  • Confident in managing global tax strategy while navigating local regulatory frameworks.
  • ACA or equivalent qualification essential; tax qualifications (e.g. CTA, ADIT) strongly preferred.

Reporting Line:

  • You will report directly to the Head of International Tax, with access to junior resources on a project-by-project basis.

Why Join?

  • Work for a truly global professional services firm with operations in nearly 30 countries.
  • Opportunity to be part of a strategic and forward-thinking tax function at the heart of major international decisions.
  • Exposure to high-calibre work with meaningful influence on global business outcomes.
  • Inclusive and supportive working environment with a strong focus on personal and professional development.
