Site Engineer - Civil Engineering

We are working with a reputable and long-established civil engineering company based in Aberdeen, delivering a wide range of projects across the North East. Our expertise spans groundworks, infrastructure, roads & drainage, utilities, concrete structures. Offering clients a complete civils solution from pre-construction through to handover.
As part of our continued growth they are looking to add an experienced Site Engineer to their team on a permanent basis. Supporting the successful delivery of diverse civil engineering projects throughout the region.
The Role
You will play a key part in the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring technical accuracy, safety compliance, and efficient delivery of works. You'll work closely with site managers, subcontractors and the wider project team to keep works progressing on time and to spec.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying for a wide range of civils packages (e.g. earthworks, drainage, utilities, concrete, roads)
- Interpreting technical drawings and ensuring accurate implementation on site
- Liaising with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to coordinate daily operations
- Maintaining quality control procedures and site records
- Assisting with health & safety compliance, RAMS reviews and site inspections
- Providing technical input and problem-solving support throughout the construction phase
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering
- Strong setting out skills (Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD)
- Familiar with all core civils disciplines: groundworks, drainage, road construction, utilities, concrete etc.
- HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- CSCS card (essential), SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
