Partnership Accountant - London (City) . £50,000 - £55,000 + Study Support | Hybrid (2 days in office)




Pentagon Talent are supporting a leading international law firm in London with the appointment of a Partnership Accountant. This role will form part of the international law firm's highly regarded global finance team, offering excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to develop within a complex, international environment.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT) looking to broaden their experience in the legal sector. Partnership accounting experience is highly desirable, though strong financial accounting and management accounting skills are equally transferable.

The role sits at the heart of the firm's global finance function, supporting over 450 partners worldwide. You will be working closely with senior finance leaders and partners, so confidence, strong communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-end partner-related accounting, including reconciliations of current accounts, tax reserves, and capital accounts.
• Preparation of journals, monthly drawings, and distributions.
• Assisting with annual partner statements and ensuring cashflow reporting is accurate and up to date.
• Partner-facing work, handling queries and liaising with regional finance teams globally.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ad-hoc analysis for senior leadership.

About You

• Part-qualified accountant (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Partnership accounts experience preferred, though candidates from management accounting backgrounds in professional services will also be considered.
• Confident communicator, able to work with senior stakeholders and handle sensitive partner-related matters.
• Comfortable working in a global, multi-currency environment.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups as a minimum).

Package & Benefits

• Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (non-negotiable)

• Hybrid working: 2 days in the City office, 3 days remote
