
Legal Cashier
Pentagon Talent are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic UK law firm to recruit a highly skilled Legal Cashier to join their collaborative Finance team. The Role
As a Client Legal Cashier, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day client financial transactions, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, and supporting the Finance function to deliver accurate and timely financial operations. This role is well-suited to a detail-focused and methodical individual who thrives under pressure and enjoys problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing client financial transactions, including payments, transfers, and postings
- Performing daily client-to-office transfers
- Reconciling all office and client bank accounts on a daily basis
- Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and firm policies
- Clearing residual client account balances regularly
- Running monthly mass interest calculations and ad hoc interest applications
- Managing queries promptly and professionally
- Administering designated deposit accounts
- Releasing payments via the firm's online banking platform
- Covering office bills and receipts in colleagues' absence
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Bring a minimum of two years' legal cashiering experience within a law firm
- Demonstrate prior experience using Aderant (essential)
- Possess strong knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Be confident handling both client and office cashiering functions
- Show excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Exhibit strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Be adaptable, flexible, and proactive in supporting the team
- Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise professionally at all levels
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
