Why this role
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a values-driven Finance Director to make an immediate impact. You'll join a high-performing team at a key stage of its journey - bringing strategic direction, people-centred leadership, and confidence across Finance, People & Culture, and IT.

We're looking for someone who can inspire trust, nurture growth, and continue the progress already being made across the organisation. If you enjoy shaping strategy while developing people and driving best practice, this role offers plenty of scope and autonomy to do both.

What you'll lead
- Finance: end-to-end leadership of budgets, management accounts, treasury, business planning and financial strategy.
 - People & Culture: working with an experienced HR lead to ensure positive engagement, good governance, and a strong organisational culture.
 - IT: oversight of digital systems, ensuring the organisation remains efficient, secure, and well-connected.
 - Governance & Risk: supporting the Board with high-quality reporting, assurance, and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring
Must-haves

- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent) with senior leadership experience.
 - Social housing background - ideally within an RSL or third-sector environment.
 - Proven experience in treasury, lender relations, and long-term financial planning.
 - Skilled at leading and developing teams and driving collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

- Broader understanding of HR, and IT management.
 - Experience with BRIXX or similar housing financial modelling tools.
 - Board or Committee-level reporting experience within the sector, or wider public sector.

The person
- Inclusive, engaging and supportive leader who builds trust naturally.
 - Understands the values and purpose of the third sector.
 - Communicates clearly with both financial and non-financial audiences.
 - Hands-on when needed, but comfortable influencing strategically.
 - Ready to bring stability, structure and positive momentum.

Working pattern
- Hybrid, typically two office days per week (flexible to suit you).
 - Condensed hours and other arrangements are considered.
 - Ideal for an experienced Head of Finance, Finance Manager or Director ready to step up.
