
Tax Manager
Pentagon Talent are collaborating with a top tier global law firm to recruit a Tax Manager on a permanent basis to join the partnership tax team. Reporting to the Head of Partnership Tax, this role will be based in the firms London office on a hybrid basis.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Tax Manager include but are not limited to:
- Leading and managing the full tax compliance cycle for the LLP, its members, and corporate entities
- Overseeing preparation of UK LLP, corporation tax computations, and individual member tax returns
- Ensuring timely, accurate tax filings, payments, and handle HMRC correspondence
- Delivering member tax statements, manage tax reserves, and respond to member queries
- Monitoring tax legislation, improve processes (including tech solutions), and support tax-related projects and analysis
Skills and Experience required:
- Professionally qualified (e.g. CTA/ACA/ATT or equivalent)
- Strong UK tax compliance experience, ideally in the legal sector
- Proficiency in tax software and advanced Excel skills
- Highly organised, able to plan and deliver a full annual tax compliance cycle
- Hands-on approach with the ability to both complete tasks and review others' work
- Works effectively under pressure, managing own and team workloads to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
- Clear and confident communicator, with a team-oriented mindset and focus on development
