Senior Management Accountant

Pentagon Talent are partnering with a prestigious international law firm in London on their search for an experienced Management Accountant to join their London based finance team on an interim basis. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract, starting in November 2025, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative finance team and gain exposure at a senior level.

The Senior Management Accountant will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a pivotal role in delivering accurate reporting, financial insight, and business support across the firm's legal sector operations in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and balance sheet reviews
• Monthly reviews of practice group performance, including variance analysis
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting for the London office
• Manage intercompany billing, reconciliations, and covenant calculations
• Prepare statutory submissions, payment reports, and survey data
• Supervise and review work from assistant management accountants
• Provide senior stakeholders with commercial insights and analysis

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong management accounting background
• Experience in the legal sector or wider professional services highly desirable
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and support senior leadership
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing demands
