
Domestic Abuse Outreach Team Lead
Job Title: Team Leader - Domestic Abuse Outreach
Location: Surrey
Hours: 21 hours per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, 9am-4:30pm)
Salary: From £28,000 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: 12 month contract
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Holiday & Pension: 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (increasing with service), pension scheme available
Purpose of the Role
To lead and support a domestic abuse outreach team delivering front line support and advocacy services to survivors across Multiple borough's in Surrey. This includes managing team performance, ensuring high service standards, and working collaboratively with partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise and support outreach staff and their caseloads
- Lead team meetings, peer support sessions, and the triage process
- Oversee record keeping and case management compliance
- Support service delivery planning and contribute to process improvements
- Attend MARAC and coordinate actions where necessary
Direct Client Support
- Provide emotional and practical support, advocacy, and safety planning
- Conduct risk and needs assessments, including safeguarding concerns
- Support clients in accessing legal advice, housing, benefits, and health services
- Reduce client isolation and promote use of support groups and community resources
- Collaborate with partner agencies for integrated client support
Service Development & Monitoring
- Contribute to service evaluations and reporting
- Ensure data is recorded accurately and securely
- Deliver training and awareness sessions where required
- Help assess and improve user experience and inter-agency collaboration
Person Profile
- Understanding of domestic abuse, safeguarding, and multi-agency work
- Leadership experience in a support or outreach setting
- Compassionate, non-judgemental, and client-centred approach
- Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills
