Sport Lecturer - Kettering

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sport Lecturer to join our team in Kettering. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire learners and support their development within the sport and fitness sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective lessons across a range of Sport programmes
• Prepare schemes of work and develop stimulating learning materials
• Support and guide learners to achieve their full potential and progression goals
• Monitor student progress, mark assessments, and maintain accurate records
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation
• Manage classroom behaviour and support students in meeting the Student Code of Conduct
• Contribute to curriculum development, course innovation, and quality assurance activities
• Assist with marketing events, open days, and interviews for prospective learners
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of all learners, ensuring a safe and respectful environment

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in Sport or a related subject
• Certificate in Education or willingness to work towards it
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Recent experience in the Sport industry and/or teaching in an FE or Sixth Form setting
• Experience in delivering engaging, inclusive learning for 16-19 learners

• A positive and proactive approach to supporting student achievement
• Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills
• Confident using digital tools and Microsoft Office in the classroom
