Sport Lecturer - Kettering
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sport Lecturer to join our team in Kettering. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire learners and support their development within the sport and fitness sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective lessons across a range of Sport programmes
- Prepare schemes of work and develop stimulating learning materials
- Support and guide learners to achieve their full potential and progression goals
- Monitor student progress, mark assessments, and maintain accurate records
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation
- Manage classroom behaviour and support students in meeting the Student Code of Conduct
- Contribute to curriculum development, course innovation, and quality assurance activities
- Assist with marketing events, open days, and interviews for prospective learners
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all learners, ensuring a safe and respectful environment
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Sport or a related subject
- Certificate in Education or willingness to work towards it
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Recent experience in the Sport industry and/or teaching in an FE or Sixth Form setting
- Experience in delivering engaging, inclusive learning for 16-19 learners

- A positive and proactive approach to supporting student achievement
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills
- Confident using digital tools and Microsoft Office in the classroom
