An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and skilled Health and Social Care Lecturer to join our dynamic team in Northampton. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, assess, and verify high-quality lessons across Health and Social Care programmes
- Support and guide learners to achieve success, progression, and personal growth
- Prepare engaging schemes of work and learning materials tailored to a variety of learning needs
- Assess and record learner progress, maintain accurate documentation, and meet assessment deadlines
- Participate in curriculum development and contribute innovative ideas to enhance student experience
- Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment aligned with institutional values and standards
- Communicate learner progress to programme managers and provide pastoral and academic support
- Participate in course team meetings, marketing events, student interviews, and open days
- Promote safeguarding, equality and diversity, and health and safety within the classroom and college community
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Health and Social Care (or closely related subject)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Certificate in Education (or willingness to work towards it)
- Recent industry experience and up-to-date knowledge of the sector
- Experience working with diverse learners in an educational or training environment
- A strong track record of delivering engaging and impactful teaching sessions
