Health and Social Care Lecturer - Northampton

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and skilled Health and Social Care Lecturer to join our dynamic team in Northampton. This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to the education and future careers of learners preparing to enter the health and social care sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, assess, and verify high-quality lessons across Health and Social Care programmes
• Support and guide learners to achieve success, progression, and personal growth
• Prepare engaging schemes of work and learning materials tailored to a variety of learning needs
• Assess and record learner progress, maintain accurate documentation, and meet assessment deadlines
• Participate in curriculum development and contribute innovative ideas to enhance student experience
• Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment aligned with institutional values and standards
• Communicate learner progress to programme managers and provide pastoral and academic support
• Participate in course team meetings, marketing events, student interviews, and open days
• Promote safeguarding, equality and diversity, and health and safety within the classroom and college community

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in Health and Social Care (or closely related subject)
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Certificate in Education (or willingness to work towards it)
• Recent industry experience and up-to-date knowledge of the sector
• Experience working with diverse learners in an educational or training environment
• A strong track record of delivering engaging and impactful teaching sessions
