Part-Time Lecturer in Education and Childcare - Solihull
We are seeking highly motivated, part-time Education and Childcare Lecturers to join our dynamic team in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of Level 1 to Level 3 Education and Childcare courses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach across Levels 1-3 in Education and Childcare, supporting students to develop both academic and practical skills for their future careers.
- Provide effective teaching in line with course curriculum, ensuring that lessons are engaging and meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Assess student work and provide feedback that aids progress, while maintaining accurate records of student achievement.
- Offer guidance and support to students throughout their learning journey, helping them meet their academic and personal goals.
- Participate in course and departmental activities, including meetings and curriculum development as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant Level 6 qualification in Education and Childcare or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one (e.g., PGCE or Certificate in Education).
- Occupational competence in the Education and Childcare sector.
- Excellent administrative skills to support the smooth running of courses.
- Flexible approach to teaching, including the ability to adapt to the varying needs of students and academic requirements.
- Commitment to student success, including providing pastoral support and mentoring where necessary.
Desirable Experience:
- Recent teaching experience in Further Education (FE) is desirable, though not essential.
- Experience of teaching Levels 1-3 in Education and Childcare.
