We're seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Agriculture & Livestock Machinery to join our land-based education team in Worplesdon. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in agricultural machinery and livestock operations who are passionate about education and shaping future talent in the sector.

About the Role

As a Lecturer in Agriculture & Livestock Machinery, you'll be part of a committed team delivering a range of practical and theoretical sessions up to Level 4. You'll support students in developing skills in machinery operation, livestock handling, and industry best practices-ensuring they leave with the capabilities and confidence to excel in their careers.

This role combines classroom-based teaching with hands-on work across a diverse 420-acre estate, giving students-and you-the opportunity to engage in real-world learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across machinery and livestock units
  • Support learners of all levels through classroom theory and practical fieldwork
  • Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content aligns with current industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records, assessments, and learner progress data
  • Act as a role model, promoting employability skills and professional values

What You'll Need:

  • A Level 3 qualification or higher in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Countryside Management, Horticulture, or related field
  • Hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of land-based machinery, including handheld and ride-on equipment
  • Experience working with livestock for production purposes
  • NPTC, Lantra, or NPORS qualifications (desirable, but not essential)
  • A passion for teaching - previous education experience is welcomed, but not essential
  • Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held
