We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Travel & Tourism Lecturer to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and learning experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess a range of Travel & Tourism programmes.
  • Design schemes of work, lesson plans, assignments and teaching materials.
  • Support and guide students through their learning journey, including setting targets and reviewing progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, retention, and achievement.
  • Act as a personal tutor and promote high levels of student engagement.
  • Participate in course planning, team meetings, and quality assurance processes.
  • Deliver outstanding learning using appropriate methods and technologies.
  • Support cross-location events including open evenings, enrolments, and parent events.
  • Act as Course Leader and/or Internal Verifier as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders including awarding bodies.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Travel & Tourism (or related field)
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Maths & English GCSE (or Level 2 equivalent) - achieved or willing to obtain
  • Knowledge of the current FE/Adult curriculum and assessment procedures
  • Industry experience in the Travel, Tourism or Aviation sector
  • Commitment to Equality & Diversity and Safeguarding

Desirable Skills

  • Assessor/Internal Verifier qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience of teaching BTEC or similar vocational programmes
  • Track record of CPD relevant to subject area
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes
  • Experience teaching in Further Education
