Childcare Lecturer - Romford, East London
Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of childcare professionals? A dynamic and inclusive college in Romford is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Childcare Lecturer to join their teaching team from September 2025.
This is a temp ongoing role, offering up to £35 per hour, and is a fantastic opportunity for someone with industry experience who is ready to inspire learners through engaging and informative sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to Childcare students from Level 1 to Level 3
- Develop and adapt teaching materials to suit a diverse range of learners
- Provide academic support, feedback, and guidance
- Assess student progress in line with awarding body requirements
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements:
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent)
- Subject-specific qualification in Childcare or Early Years
- Previous experience teaching in a Further Education or similar setting
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all backgrounds
Essential:
- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) - must be on the Update Service or obtained prior to start
