Job Title: Electrical Assessor

Contract Type: Permanent
Hourly Rate: Up to £41,000
About the Role:
We are seeking an Electrical Assessor to support the delivery and assessment of electrical installation apprenticeships and vocational qualifications. This permanent role offers a full-time, permanent opportunity and involves working closely with learners and employers to ensure high standards of training and competence are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out workplace assessments for electrical installation learners, ensuring alignment with awarding body and industry standards
- Provide guidance, feedback, and support to apprentices throughout their training journey
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessment decisions
- Conduct regular reviews and liaise with employers to monitor learner development
- Support quality assurance processes and participate in standardisation activities
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and safeguarding requirements
Requirements:
- A recognised qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., NVQ Level 3, AM2)
- Industry experience as a qualified electrician
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to support and motivate a diverse range of learners
Desirable:
- Experience assessing within an FE or apprenticeship training environment
- Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, D32/D33)
- Up-to-date knowledge of the IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
- Experience with e-portfolio systems and digital assessment tools
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessment (EPA) requirements
