Hairdressing Lecturer - London - September Start

We are working with a respected Further Education and Training college in London as they prepare to recruit an Hourly Paid Hairdressing Lecturer, with the role expected to commence in September on a temporary ongoing basis.

The college is currently advertising the vacancy internally. Once that process concludes, the role will be released to us. We are therefore inviting early interest from qualified professionals who are passionate about teaching their skills and experience in the Further Education and Training sector.

The Role:

As a Hairdressing Lecturer, you will:

• Deliver high-quality practical and theory-based sessions to learners on accredited Hairdressing programmes.
• Guide learners in developing industry-standard techniques, professionalism and client care skills.
• Ensure progress through effective assessment, feedback and personalised guidance.
• Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment aligned with Further Education and Training values.

Candidate Requirements:

• A recognised qualification in Hairdressing at Level 3 or higher.
• A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd) or willingness to work towards one.
• Relevant experience delivering Hairdressing education or training in an FE or vocational setting.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - this is mandatory.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a learner-focused and adaptable approach.
