
Team Leader - Substance Misuse

Job Title: Substance Misuse Team Leader
Location: Northampton
Hours: Full time / 37.5 hours per week
Type: Permanent
Salary: £30,750 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure the development and delivery of the service in line with contractual requirements.
- To provide leadership to the team and implement standards and policies across the service.
- To manage the team providing induction, supervision, coaching, work reviews and development reviews.
- To support the Service Manager/Senior Manager in dealing with performance management issues by identifying instances of underperformance with relevant supporting evidence/data
- To assist in the recruitment of team members and volunteers
- Ensure that all safeguarding issues, including child protection and protection of vulnerable adults, are dealt with in accordance to Aquarius policies and procedures, and local and national statutory requirements.
- Be confident holding a small case load of clients.
Person Specification:
- Demonstrable experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ4 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Significant experience of individual client work in an addictions or social care setting with adults/young people.
- Experience of staff supervision/management.
- Knowledge of primary, secondary and other outreach settings.
- Knowledge of alcohol and health related issues.
- Knowledge and understanding of the functional model of alcohol use.
- Experience of delivering training.
