Location: Essex
Pay: £300 per day
Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Rail Engineering Assessor to support the development of future talent in the rail industry. We're working with a number of clients in the Essex area who are on the hunt for lecturers, assessors, and trainers in rail engineering and related disciplines. You will play a key role in assessing competence and ensuring the highest standards of training delivery across a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess learners in Rail Engineering disciplines in line with awarding body requirements and industry standards.
- Support and guide learners through their qualification journey, providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Conduct workplace observations, portfolio reviews, and professional discussions.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and quality assurance frameworks.
Requirements:
- Recognised Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, D32/33).
- Significant industry experience in rail engineering (track, signalling, OLE, or related fields).
- Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and vocational qualifications.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within Essex.
