Salary: £29,870 - £39,696 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Morgan Hunt is proud to be working with a college in the Bedfordshire area who are seeking to a recruit a dedicated EHCP Coordinator to join their Additional Support department.
About the Role:
As an EHCP Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will lead annual and termly reviews, work closely with curriculum teams to ensure statutory duties are met, and help students transition into and out of college with a person-centred approach. The role also includes reporting responsibilities, monitoring of provision, in-class observations, and local authority liaison.
Key Responsibilities:
- EHCP Coordination & Reviews: Lead annual and termly EHCP reviews, ensuring legal compliance and sharing outcomes with relevant teams.
- Student Transition & Progression: Support students' entry into college and their progression beyond using a person-centred planning approach.
- Curriculum Collaboration & Training: Engage with curriculum staff to ensure awareness of EHCP needs and deliver training where required.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct in-class observations, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare reports for local authority funding panels.
- Compliance & Development: Promote safeguarding, equality, and health & safety. Actively participate in team meetings, development activities, and college events.
About You:
- Qualifications: A Levels (or equivalent), GCSEs (A-C in English and Maths), and a degree or vocational qualification in Education, Health, or Social Sciences.
- SEND & EHCP Experience: Solid knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice. Proven experience supporting learners with EHCPs and learning difficulties/disabilities, ideally within further education.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confident in leading meetings and working collaboratively across departments.
- Organisation & IT: Highly organised with strong record-keeping and IT skills. Able to work under pressure and manage a varied workload.
- Values & Safeguarding: Demonstrates commitment to the organisation's core values and safeguarding responsibilities. Flexible in working hours and location when necessary.
