The Role:
Our client is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Lecturer to join their dedicated teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of future healthcare workers, social workers, and carers by delivering high-quality, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Health and Social Care lessons to a range of learners from level 1 - 3
- Support and guide students in both academic and practical settings.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop course materials and assess student assignments in line with awarding body requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with sector developments to inform teaching practice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and quality assurance.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
Education, Skills and Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
- A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., Degree, NVQ Level 3+, Nursing or Social Work background).
- Experience teaching within Further Education or similar educational settings
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and current industry practices
- Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills
