About the Role: As a Refuge Worker, you will support women and children in a refuge setting across multiple sites, helping them rebuild their lives free from violence. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, developing personalised support plans, and providing emotional and practical support. You should have experience working with survivors of domestic abuse and an understanding of their diverse needs.
About You: We\'re looking for someone with knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact, strong case management skills, and experience in providing workshops. You\'ll need excellent administrative abilities, a commitment to our values, and the capacity to manage a caseload effectively.

Advocating for adults and parents with a learning disability and/or mental health struggles, you will support parents through the complexity of parenting, supporting them with all matters relating to their children.
Supporting parents going through child protection, care proceedings and in court hearings, you will help them understand the process and advocate on their behalf.
Ensuring the view and voice of parents are heard, you will ensure the processes are fair and that no stone is left unturned, ensuring every effort is put in place to offer parents every change of success.
The role is permanent contracted 20 hours per week however the likelihood of overtime is very likely due to the busyness of the service.
We are ideally looking for someone with advocacy experience however are open to people with family or mental health experience.
The role is Monday to Friday 9:30 - 17:30
The head office is based in Islington however the court proceedings mean frequent travel.

Drop-in Hub Caseworker

This service truly ticks every box! Offering people experiencing homelessness, support, to find a solution and get them off the streets through assessment, key working and linking in with the appropriate services. Not only this but the hub offers a shower, hot food, use the phone, computer or WIFI, do your laundry or check your post. The core client group is people experiencing homelessness, some of which have no recourse to public funds, the team also provides 1-1 casework for people in a variety of situations. Currently they are supporting 40-50 service users a day! They also have a separate women\'s sanctuary area in the facility. They are also looking to deliver workshops around people getting ID, Bank account, teach basic IT skills and document gathering.
