PURPOSE OF JOB:
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1 To support the College\'s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.

1.7 To ensure that data is handled in line with the General Data Protection Regulations.
2.1 To participate in college-wide projects and tasks.
2.2 To work in other support services areas to meet the specific needs of workload peaks.
2.3 Such other duties of a similar nature commensurate with the grade as may be required from time to time. This may/will require working in other campuses of the College.
3.1 To work independently to provide speech and language therapy input to learners with speech, language and communication difficulties for post 16 students dependent on caseload needs. To maintain professional standards of service through CPD and other developmental activities complying with the policies and procedures of the college. To provide training to other professionals, staff and colleagues. Assess speech, language and communicative skills using both formal and informal assessments. To analyse assessment results and develop therapy programs/plans, with SMART targets. To deliver speech and language therapy to individual learners on your caseload. To plan, prepare and deliver group therapy sessions. To work collaboratively with the teachers and support staff to deliver classroombased interventions. To accurately evaluate therapy targets. To create resources and programs which can be used by all colleagues in the department. Write full and detailed reports for annual reviews on the pupils you work with. To maintain up to date and accurate case notes in line with the RCSLT professional standards. To provide advice to others regarding the management on the students\' speech language and communicative difficulties. To work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team. To organise and run training sessions/workshops for members of staff and other professionals. To provide support and guidance to parent and carers.
4.1 Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
4.2 Knowledge and experience of direct work with students and families where there are a variety of needs.
4.3 Experience of working in a similar role within a school or college setting.
4.5 Experience of designing and leading group and individual intervention programmes

Job Purpose
The post holder will deputise for the Head of Facilities Management in their absence for all non-security related Soft FM Services, ensuring that they are efficient, effective, of high quality, and value for money.
The position will manage a range of in-house and outsourced services including Portering, Environmental Services (Cleaning, Waste Management, and Window Cleaning), Pest Control, Catering, Customer Service (Reception), Grounds Maintenance and Service Desk.
The post holder is responsible for day-to-day operations and contract management, and line management of a team of Assistant Facilities Managers.
Main Responsibilities
Line Management of Facilities and Premises Teams
* Management of Facilities Services and Premises teams, providing leadership and support to ensure Key Performance Indicators and other objectives are met.
* Conducting appraisals and regular one-2-one\'s with direct reports, setting objectives and measuring team performance.
* Holding regular team meetings to a schedule as agreed with the Head of Facilities Management for the purposes of team building, information sharing, service performance reviews, innovation and strategy.
* Ensuring the effective and efficient deployment of staff, taking the leading role in developing and managing a resource plan, and working with the University performance, absence and disciplinary processes.
* Ensuring that staff are properly trained, equipped and attired to facilitate the safe, efficient and effective performance of their duties ensuring best practice and compliance with Health and Safety legislation at all times.
Contract Management
* To assist the Head of Facilities Management in the pro-active operational management of contracts, including Catering, Cleaning, Feminine Hygiene, Waste Management, Pest Control and Landscaping.
* Assisting with regular contract meetings to an agreed schedule to discuss and record progress, performance, stakeholder feedback, commercial matters, resources and any areas for improvement as per Contract Checklists.
* To undertake regular quality audits in support of Key Performance Indicators and customer satisfaction. * To provide monthly management information to give an objective picture of contractual performance.
* To assist the Head of Facilities Management to procure, mobilise and establish contracts working with Procurement, PAF Managers and key stakeholders to procure high quality, effective, value for money facilities services contracts.
H & S Compliance
* To ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Legislation relating to areas of operation reporting to the post. Conduct risk assessments and spot checks of PaF contractors and staff to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and the University\'s own policies.
* Maintain a thorough working knowledge of fire safety and evacuation procedures, assisting with the management of evacuations, drills, inspections and other safety tasks or actions as required
