The Organisation
As a Project Manager you will oversee all aspects of the building process working closely with the Design team, Engineers, and Architects to develop a plan and establish a timetable to determine labour and material costs for your project.
You will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed on time and within scope. Your Main duties for the job will be planning, distributing resources, time management, risk management, creating benchmarks, managing the budgets, managing of staff, subcontractors, and the relationships of key stakeholders.
You will report directly to the Project Director, and lead a site team.

Key Responsibilities
You will have a strong building background with experience of high rise and high-density flatted developments. It is essential you have good programming and subcontractor management skills.
Your job will require you to have a good knowledge of D&B projects and procedures. You will be expected to prepare monthly progress reports, have a high expectation on quality and can communicate with the key stakeholders very well through written or verbal communication.
Skills & Experience
You will come from a trades background or hold a degree in construction management or the equivalent and be able to evidence your ability to manage a multi-trade construction team and deliver projects on time, budget and safely. You will have a 5-day CITB SMSTS, 3-day First Aid Certificate and a Management CSCS card.

The role is ideally suited to an individual of an architectural background with experience of being involved in the delivery of new-build and/or retrofit residential projects designed to a low-energy / low-carbon / Passivhaus standard.

They undertake Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP) calculations to assess compliance and can also produce bespoke Psi-value Calculations to ensure that thermal bridging is minimised.
Requirements
The preferred candidate will have excellent knowledge of the key factors that impact on building energy performance including fabric design, thermal bridging, ventilation, airtightness, overheating, heating and hot water solutions, and renewable technology. The candidate should also have a very good understanding of Climate Change / Net Zero guidance by organisations such as LETI and UKGBC and how to apply the guidance to building performance.
