Job Title: Temporary Lead Manager - Floating Support Services
Assignment Duration: 2-3 months

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Temporary Lead Manager to oversee our client\'s Floating support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated staff members and ensuring the effective service delivery of support to approximately 270 service users, primarily individuals transitioning from temporary accommodation to private rented housing.

As an Advice Worker, you will provide high quality, effective and efficient advice and casework service to members of the public. Interviewing clients face-to-face, on the telephone and via web chat and email, you will use sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and explore options.
Providing appropriate advice researching and exploring these options and potential implications, the Advice Worker will help clients set priorities and make informed decisions.
We are looking for someone with relevant experience within Advice whether that be within a Social Care, Housing or Law centre setting. You should have thorough knowledge of the welfare benefits system, including University Credit, and ability to carry out accurate benefit check calculations.

Floating Support Worker Wanted!

Our social care client needs a Floating Support Worker to provide housing related support to vulnerable ex homeless clients, to ensure they maintain their tenancy and get them ready for an independent lifestyle. You will be supporting 25-35 clients in self-contained supported accommodation units around London, the frequency of how often you will need to visit each service user will depend on their level of need. So, this is a great opportunity to be out in the community supporting those who need your advice and guidance most!
The clients themselves have a variety of support needs and come from a variety of backgrounds including low level substance misuse issues, ex-rough sleepers and those who are battling various low - medium risk mental health issues. You will be helping them improve and obtain the skills and knowledge they need to maintain their property and live an independent life. You will need to demonstrate patience, perseverance, and motivation to really get the best out of your case load, in this social care position

Responsibilities:
As the Supported Housing Team Leader, you will be tasked with supporting our Housing Team to provide excellent service to all housing clients. This involves identifying and assessing client needs, ensuring appropriate support is available to facilitate positive changes and progress towards independent living. You will also be responsible for maximizing rental income and ensuring clients meet their tenancy/license obligations.
Additional Duties:
In addition to the above, you will support the staff team in meeting external demands, responding to the needs of local commissioners and stakeholders, and demonstrating best value and best practice. You will actively support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations, helping them to transition away from homelessness.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing a team within the supported housing service, along with knowledge of financial management. Strong leadership, motivation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is an understanding of health and safety policies and procedures, and safeguarding policies and procedures. Experience in conducting risk assessments and using the Outcome Star is also required, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
